Google Earth… Yokohama looks flat from this perspective. I ask if it’s possible to get a bike while there, I see large dockland areas, not dissimilar from the view where I live. I think about riding around large gas cylinders in the heat that everyone has warned me of.

A Unesco publication bought in Fukuoka Art Museum by Judy Freya Sibayan during her visit from the Philipines to the 3rd Asian Art Show in 1989. She gave me this book during a visit to the UK a couple of years ago. Timely to re-find it on my shelf.

I must remember to ask her what her trip was like…..
